FITTING, BLACKSMITHY, CARPENRTY & FOUNDRY SHOP


                                        QUICK REVISION  HAND-WRIITEN NOTES





FITTING SHOP:

The workshop that deals with the assembly of mating parts, through removal of metal, to obtain the required fit. The person who does this is known as fitter. the basic material required is steel.

BLACKSMITHY SHOP:

It is the workspace where we heat the metal in an open fire or hearth and then reshaping it to make our desired shaper. The person who does this is known as smith. the basic material required is alloy of metals.

CARPENTRY SHOP:

It is the workshop in which wooden components are processed. It deals with the building work, furniture, cabinet making etc. The person who does this is known as carpenter. And the basic material required is carpenter.

FOUNDRY SHOP:

It is the workshop that deals with the process of making castings in moulds formed in either sand or other material. And the basic material required is green sand.
